'I took another job': Plumber quits without notice for massive pay increase after boss denies them a raise

It's always good to give notice when quitting a job, but when you seriously feel that you've been taken advantage of and stand to make a lot more money… why wait around for longer than you have to at the lower-paying rate? 

That's what drove this plumber to quit their job on the spot after receiving a much better offer from a competitor of their current employer. They took to Reddit's r/antiwork subreddit to share an exchange that happened between themself and their boss after they decided to quit on the spot over text—never to return to their job.

The employee shared in the comments that they had received a much better offer with better benefits from a competitor of their employer that had motivated the move.
